How to Make Weed Tea: The Ultimate Infused Recipe

Weed tea is simple, cozy, and gentle on your lungs.
This guide shows you how to make weed tea with clear steps, safe dosing tips, and easy science.
You’ll also learn what “decarb” means, why fat matters, and how weed butter fits in.
What Is Weed Tea?
Weed tea (also called cannabis tea) is a warm drink that carries THC or CBD from cannabis into your cup.
You sip it like regular tea. The effects feel like weed edibles because you swallow and digest it rather than inhale it.
Two things make weed tea work:
- Decarboxylation: Heat turns THCA into active THC (and CBDA into CBD). Without this step, the drink will feel weak. Scientists have studied this conversion for years, showing that heat and time control how much THCA becomes THC. Too much heat for too long can also break THC down.
- Fat loves cannabinoids: THC and CBD are lipophilic, which means they dissolve in fats and oils but not in plain water. This is why adding butter, coconut oil, or milk helps your tea carry the cannabinoids.
How Weed Tea Feels (Onset, Peak, and Duration)
Weed tea acts like an edible.
That means the effects start slow and last longer than smoking.
- You may begin to feel it 30 minutes to 2 hours after drinking.
- It can take up to 4 hours to feel the full effect.
- Effects can last 4 to 12 hours, with light after-effects up to 24 hours.
Because of this slow rise, take your time between sips and servings.
Safety and Dosing Basics in Canada
If you’re new to edibles or returning after a break, start low.
Health Canada suggests 2.5 mg THC or less as a starting dose for edible products and to wait before taking more.
Always keep cannabis and edibles out of reach of children and pets.
For broad consumer guidance on legal products and labels in Canada, see Health Canada’s consumer information.
The Small Science You Need (Plain English)
Here are the two key ideas, kept simple:
- Decarboxylation (“decarb”):
Raw cannabis holds THCA and CBDA. Heat removes a small acid group (CO₂) and makes THC and CBD active. Lab work shows that mild oven heat for a set time activates these molecules. Higher heat for too long can reduce THC by converting it to other compounds. - Fat makes tea effective:
THC and CBD don’t mix well with water, but they do blend with fats. Adding a small amount of weed butter (cannabutter), coconut oil, cream, or whole milk helps your body absorb cannabinoids from tea. This is a basic property of these molecules and shows up across pharmacology research.
What You’ll Need (One Quick List)
- Decarbed cannabis or ready-made weed butter (cannabutter)
- Black, green, or herbal tea bag (your choice)
- A fat: 1–2 teaspoons butter, coconut oil, cream, or whole milk
- Hot water and a small pot or kettle
- Fine strainer or cheesecloth (if using plant material)
- Optional: lemon, ginger, honey, sugar, or spices for flavour
How to Make Weed Tea (With Weed Butter)
If you already have weed butter, this is the easiest path.
You get better control over dose and taste.
- Boil water.
Heat 1 cup (240 ml) of water to a gentle boil. - Brew your tea.
Add your tea bag and steep 3–5 minutes. - Stir in fat.
Add ½ to 1 teaspoon of weed butter (or infused coconut oil). Stir well so the fat disperses. - Sweeten and finish.
Add honey, sugar, or lemon to taste. - Sip slowly.
Wait at least 2 hours before adding more infused butter to the next cup. Remember the slow climb.
Why this works: the cannabutter brings THC/CBD into the drink because cannabinoids dissolve in fat, not water.
No Weed Butter? Quick Milk-Based Cannabis Tea
You can infuse whole milk or cream right in the pot.
This method strains out plant bits and still gives you a smooth cup.
- Decarb first (see the next section).
- Warm fat + water.
In a small saucepan, combine ¾ cup water and ¼ cup whole milk or cream (you want some fat present). Heat to a light simmer. - Add decarbed cannabis.
Start with ¼ to ½ gram. Keep the mix at a low simmer for 20–30 minutes, stirring now and then. - Strain and serve.
Pour through a fine strainer or cheesecloth into your mug. Add a regular tea bag and steep 3–5 minutes for flavour. - Season and sip.
Add ginger, cinnamon, or honey if you like. Drink slowly. Give the effects time.
Note: The fat in milk helps pull cannabinoids into the drink. Plain water alone is not enough.
How to Decarb Cannabis (Step-by-Step)
You’ll get more consistent results if you decarb before making tea or weed edibles.
- Preheat your oven to 110–120 °C (230–248 °F).
- Prepare the flower.
Break it up gently (don’t grind to dust). Spread on a parchment-lined tray. - Heat for 30–40 minutes.
Stir once halfway. Ovens vary, so aim for even, light browning and a toasty smell. - Cool on the tray.
Store in a clean jar until use.
Why these numbers? Research shows THCA converts to THC with controlled heat and time; too hot for too long can degrade THC to other compounds. The range above balances activation and flavour in a home oven. Use an oven thermometer for accuracy.
How to Dose Your Cannabis Tea
Dosing is easier if you use weed butter with a known strength.
If your cannabutter is 10 mg THC per teaspoon, then ½ teaspoon in one cup ≈ 5 mg THC.
If you’re infusing milk with decarbed flower, use a gentle approach:
- Start with ¼ gram of cannabis at 15% THC in your small batch.
- 0.25 g × 150 mg THC/g ≈ 37.5 mg THC total before losses. Home infusions are not 100% efficient, and you likely split the batch into several cups.
- Pour smaller servings and wait 2 hours to judge effects before more.
For new or cautious users, aim for 2.5 mg THC per serving and go slow.
Flavour Boosts and Easy Variations
- Chai-style: simmer your milk with black tea, ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom.
- Lemon-ginger herbal: great without caffeine; add a little coconut oil for fat.
- Iced cannabis tea: chill the infused base, then pour over ice with lemon.
- CBD-forward: use a CBD-rich strain for a milder cup and the same steps.
Tip: Honey sweetens well, but it does not replace fat. Add a teaspoon of butter, coconut oil, or cream to carry cannabinoids.
Storage and Reheating
- Refrigerate leftover milk-based cannabis tea in a sealed jar for up to 2–3 days.
- Fat can separate as it cools; shake or whisk before reheating.
- Warm gently on the stove. Avoid boiling to protect taste and aroma.
Keep all infused drinks clearly labelled and out of reach of kids and pets.
Weed Tea vs. Other Weed Edibles
- Onset: similar to other edibles—30 to 120 minutes to feel it.
- Duration: often 4–12 hours, sometimes longer.
- Control: using measured weed butter lets you fine-tune a cup more easily than guessing with raw flower.
- Taste: tea flavours, spices, and milk help mask the herbal note.
Some packaged drinks use special emulsions to act faster, but home tea still follows the “start low, go slow” rule.
Troubleshooting
My tea is weak.
You may have skipped decarb, used too little fat, or under-infused. Decarb and add a teaspoon of butter or coconut oil next time.
There’s an oily film.
That’s normal when fat meets hot tea. Whisk or froth it. A splash of milk helps it blend.
I felt nothing, then too much.
This is common with edibles. Effects can take up to 4 hours to peak. Next time, measure smaller doses and wait longer before adding more.
How much should I take?
If you’re new, 2.5 mg THC or less per serving is a careful start. Wait, then decide if you need more.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to decarb?
Yes, if you want psychoactive THC. Decarb turns THCA into THC. Without it, the tea will be much milder.
Can I make caffeine-free weed tea?
Yes. Use herbal tea and the same fat and decarb steps.
Can I use stems or trim?
You can, but potency will be lower. Decarb first and simmer longer with fat.
Is CBD tea different?
You still decarb and still need fat. CBD is also lipophilic and needs a carrier.
What about mixing with alcohol?
Some people infuse tinctures, but alcohol extractions are stronger and have their own safety rules. Start low and be cautious.
Step-By-Step Recap (Quick Path to Your First Cup)
- Decarb your cannabis: 110–120 °C for ~30–40 min.
- Brew any tea you like.
- Add fat (weed butter, coconut oil, cream, or milk).
- Stir, season, and sip slowly. Wait 2 hours before more.

How Long Do Weed Edibles Last?
How Long Do Weed Edibles Last?

Cannabis edibles include any food or beverage that’s been improved by adding THC or CBD. Edibles are one of the most popular ways to enjoy marijuana. But, if you’ve ever thought about eating your pot, you might be wondering, how long do weed edibles last, anyway?
Modern weed dispensaries sell a range of marijuana edibles, including varieties with lots of THC and CBD-dominant blends. Learn everything you need to know about edibles, including how long edibles stay in your system for drug tests and other essential questions.
Key Points
- The main components of edibles are Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD); the effects of both last roughly the same length of time in the body.
- Cannabis edibles (food or beverages enhanced with THC or CBD) are a popular method of marijuana consumption.
- Edibles come in a wide variety, including sweets like brownies, cookies, candies, THC gummies, and chocolates, as well as teas, beverages, and savory treats.
- Overconsumption of edibles can cause adverse side effects.
What’s In an Edible?
Like most cannabis products, edibles tend to include THC, CBD, or both. Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, and cannabidiol, or CBD, are the two most popular active ingredients in marijuana. Whether you use pot to get high or for its beneficial medical properties, THC and CBD are responsible for your favourite effects.
How long do THC edibles last and how long do CBD edibles last are similar questions. Since CBD doesn’t make you feel high, it might seem like their effects wear off faster. However, the cannabinoids will stay in your body for around the same length.

What Weed Edibles Are Available?
Before we dig into the question of how long do edibles last in your system, let’s stop and review the different types of edibles available. Many people imagine brownies and other sweets when they think about weed edibles. Special brownies have a longstanding place in pop culture. You’ve probably seen these treats references in movies, TV shows, and other pieces of media. These representations rarely cover how long do edibles last, but they’re a fun introduction to the concept.
THC brownies are still a popular product, but you can explore a range of other edibles as well. Sweets lovers can go wild with cookies, baked goods, candies, THC gummies, and chocolates. If you’re not a sugar freak, you can try teas, beverages, and savoury treats.
When Will You Start Feeling Effects From an Edible?
Aside from the question of how long do THC edibles last in your system, one of the most common queries is when you’ll start feeling an edible’s effects. Everyone reacts differently to eating cannabis. You can expect to wait 30-60 minutes to feel anything. That might seem like a long time compared to smoking, but remember that edibles are broken down in your digestive system, not in your lungs.
A few factors impact when you start to feel your edible kick in. Your tolerance, body size, and overall metabolism all play a part. The edible’s strength is also essential.
Once you start to feel the effects, you’re in for a lot of fun. How long do edibles last in your system? The high from an edible can last for 6-8 hours, with the highest amount of THC in your bloodstream present around three hours after eating. The exact timeline of how long do THC edibles last is hard to pin down. Research and studies are still zeroing in on normal reactions.
Why Choose Edibles Instead Of Smoking?
Many people still smoke their cannabis buds, but we’ve seen that there are many reasons to go for edibles instead. First, consider the question of how long do edibles last compared to smoking. Edible lovers can get a 6-8 hour high from one dose. That sounds a lot better than the short high from smoking.
There’s also the issue of taste. If you have a sweet tooth, choosing edibles might be a no-brainer. However, why not combine dessert and cannabis for a well-rounded, enjoyable experience? Combine the flavours with how long edibles last, and this method looks pretty attractive.
However, there are some less obvious reasons as well. Cannabis edibles can lower your risk of cancer and other diseases by reducing your smoking habits. Smoking cannabis introduces carcinogens to your body. Many people want to avoid this risk while still getting high.
Edibles are also easy to consume without being obvious. A glass pipe or traditional joint is pretty noticeable if you’re not among like-minded friends. On the other hand, a THC cookie, gummy bear, or brownie looks just like its standard version. Edibles allow you to enjoy cannabis in many scenarios while keeping your habits private if you prefer.
Watch Out for Negative Side Effects
Edibles are incredible, but you can experience adverse side effects if you overdo them. Unpleasant consequences of eating too many THC edibles can include anxiety, delusions, vomiting, heart trouble, and other serious concerns. In addition, CBD edibles can cause fatigue, diarrhea, and unplanned weight changes if you have too many.
Most people who run into trouble with edibles have problems because they took too much. Remember that edibles take a long time to kick in. It’s normal to wait up to an hour to feel anything! Don’t get impatient and eat another dose to try and speed things along. You’ll have a better experience if you keep yourself busy and let the effects come on their own timeline. You’ll notice once your edibles do kick in.
In Conclusion On How Long Edibles Last
Weed edibles are a totally different beast than cannabis flowers. Edibles are absorbed differently and thus lead to different effects. When you do THC edibles, it is best to buy weed edibles online in Canada from a trusted dispensary such as Get Kush. Visit the GetKush edible shop and find some of the hottest brand name edibles on the market and at affordable prices.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Many MGs Is High for Edibles?
A high dosage of cannabis edibles depends on an individual’s unique tolerance level and sensitivity to THC. Generally, 20-30 milligrams is considered a strong dose. However, if you’re a beginner, it’s recommended to start with a lower dose, around 2-5 milligrams, and gradually increase as required.
However, bear in mind that some users may feel the psychoactive effects with even lower doses, while others may require higher concentrations to feel the full effects.
Do Edibles Last All Night?
The duration of edibles’ effects varies from person to person. Generally, their effects can last from six to eight hours, depending on metabolism, body weight, and THC content.
Given the lasting effects, edibles are not recommended for those seeking a shorter and more controlled cannabis experience.
Is a 10mg Edible Too Much for a Beginner?
A 10mg edible might be too much for a beginner, as it may result in unintended psychoactive effects. To ensure a positive experience, first-time users are recommended to start with a lower dosage.
By beginning with a lower dose, users can gauge their tolerance and sensitivity to the effects of THC, gradually increasing the dose as needed upon subsequent consumption.
How High Will a 10mg Edible Make You?
The psychoactive effects of a 10mg edible are dependent upon the individual user’s tolerance, body weight, and metabolism. In general, a 10mg edible could induce a moderately intense high for those with little to no tolerance.
Moderate effects are to be expected for individuals with a baseline tolerance, while more experienced consumers may require a higher dose to feel the full effects. The degree of high can also be influenced by factors such as the type of product and the ratio of cannabinoids.
Do Edibles Last Longer If You Eat Before?
Consuming edibles on a full stomach may slow down the absorption of THC, resulting in a delayed onset of the psychoactive effects.
The presence of food can additionally prolong the duration of the effects. This is because the THC is absorbed more slowly into the bloodstream, allowing the high to last longer. That being said, it is essential to consume a moderate amount of food to avoid overpowering or diluting the effects of the edibles.
Can Edibles Last 3 Hours?
Yes, edibles’ effects can last around 3 hours, though this range is subjective and dependent on the individual’s metabolism, body weight, and the amount of THC ingested.
It’s important to note that the effects of edibles typically peak around the 2 hour mark, with a general duration of 4–8 hours. However, some users may experience shorter or longer-lasting effects.
What Happens If You Eat 10 Edibles at Once?
Consuming 10 edibles at once may result in overconsumption, leading to an intense high, paranoia, anxiety, and discomfort.
Overdosing on edibles can also lead to physical side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, increased heart rate, and lowered blood pressure.
It is important to exercise caution and start with a low dose, waiting at least one hour before considering increasing the dose, to avoid negative experiences.
How to Feel Normal After Eating Edibles?
To feel normal after consuming edibles, try these suggestions:
- Stay calm and remind yourself that the effects are temporary.
- Find a comfortable environment where you can relax or lie down.
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
- Distract yourself with light activities, such as watching a movie or listening to music.
- Sleeping or taking a nap can help to expedite the process of returning to normal.
Remember that patience and time are essential to counteract the effects of edibles.

Making Cannabutter For THC Caramels
Follow these instructions to learn how to make cannabutter for THC caramels. You can use cannabutter instead of regular butter in any recipe you want to infuse with THC. If you already have cannabutter, continue to the main recipe below.

1. Decarb Your Buds
Grind your buds to rice-size and spread them over a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Place them in the oven at 225 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown. Decarboxylating your cannabis activates THC and other cannabinoids, so don’t be tempted to skip this step.
2. Infuse Your Butter
Melt two cups of butter in your saucepan over low heat. Add the cannabis grinds and stir to distribute evenly. Once your buds and butter are evenly mixed, let the pan simmer for 3-4 hours. You can add water if the mixture starts to cook down too much.
3. Strain The Cannabutter
After several hours of simmering, remove the cannabutter from the stove and let it cool. Carefully strain the mixture through the strainer or cheesecloth to remove any plant matter and excess water. Add the cannabutter to a glass jar and keep it in the fridge until you’re ready to use it.

What Are Weed Edibles?
What Are Weed Edibles?

If you’ve ever tried marijuana or know people who are pot lovers, you’ve probably heard of weed edibles before. So what are cannabis edibles, exactly?
This category of marijuana treats includes any food or beverage infused with THC. People love edibles as an alternative to smoking and for their delicious taste. Of course, it’s possible to make edibles at home, but these days, you can source top-quality edible products from your favourite dispensary.
What are THC edibles? Let’s explore these delicious, effective, and beneficial products in more detail so you know what to expect when you buy THC weed edibles online in Canada.
A Brief History Of Weed Edibles
The precise date when humans discovered cannabis has been lost to history. Ancient people may have eaten the plant as food for centuries without unlocking the full potential of THC, which needs heat to activate. However, many ethnobotanists believe that early people did explore cannabis.
Marijuana edibles known as Mahjoun may have been made from spices, sweeteners, and hash in ancient India. Compelling arguments also connect cannabis use with the development of music, art, religion, and other cultural foundations.
Research shows global cannabis usage in diverse locations like Uzbekistan, Cambodia, and Poland. Marijuana reached Canada, America, and Western Europe in the 1800s. Artists immediately latched onto the practice for inspiring creativity. The plant has only grown in popularity since then.

Canadian Culture And Edibles
Thanks to marijuana legalization, most Canadians can answer the question, what are cannabis edibles? Even people who don’t partake in the plant are still familiar with it from pop culture. Pot is becoming a part of general society as more people discover the benefits and applications of edibles.
As demand for weed edibles increases, cannabis brands have responded with a fantastic range of new products. Today’s weed lovers can choose from thousands of edible products at dispensaries near them. You can also research what weed edibles are through your smartphone or laptop by ordering marijuana online.
What Makes An Edible Work
People have been cooking with marijuana for hundred or thousands of years, but what chemical reactions make these treats so special? Let’s ask what edible drugs are and learn more about this cannabis method.
THC And Other Cannabinoids
Marijuana contains nearly 500 different compounds, only 66 of which are classified as cannabinoids. However, THC or delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol is the most well-known cannabis ingredient. This compound creates the intoxicating, psychoactive effects associated with using marijuana.
THC is lipid-soluble, which means it breaks down in the presence of fats and oils. In the human body, THC attaches to body fat as well as chemical receptors in the brain.
Cannabis edibles offer a unique way to enjoy THC. When you eat cannabis instead of smoking buds, THC interacts with your endocannabinoid system in a different process. THC is broken down more slowly when digested as food instead of inhaled as smoke. Since the digestion process takes longer, you feel the euphoric effects for longer.
If you’ve ever tried an edible and not felt anything immediately, you might wonder what edibles are good for. Just be patient. It can take several hours to feel the effects of eating cannabis. However, once it kicks in, you can expect to feel results for several hours as well.
Eating weed edibles also creates stronger sensations than smoking or other methods. THC is broken down into metabolites known as 11-OH-THC while in your body. Metabolites are faster and more effective at moving from your blood into your brain than pure THC. Once you know what cannabis edibles are, you can feel double the effect. Essentially, you’ll get high from the THC as well as from the 11-OH-THC.
Now that you know what edibles are, you can explore a brand new world of sensations and experiences. Just be sure to take it slow and steady with edibles for the best results.
Different Types of Cannabis Edibles

You probably already know that cannabis becomes psychoactive when it’s heated or burnt. This concept explains why smoking pot is a traditional and effective way of using the plant. Cannabis contains over 113 cannabinoids, including tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is found in an acidic form known as THCa in the raw marijuana plant. THCa is only converted into THC through decarboxylation, or the process of drying, heating, and curing the buds. Unfortunately, THCa doesn’t deliver all the euphoric effects we know and love from THC, so decarbing is very important to your enjoyment.
What happens if you eat weed that hasn’t been decarbed? Not much of anything. Your body can break down THCa without creating any noticeable side effects. If you consume raw cannabis, the cannabinoids will simply pass through your body without getting you high. You’ll still enjoy valuable nutrients and minerals, but there are no mind-altering effects to be found.
Eating Decarbed Weed
Consuming decarbed or cured weed is a different story. If you eat dried buds, you’ll get closer to understanding what kind of high edibles give you. Let’s explore the common effects of eating decarbed weed.
Lightheadedness
What do weed edibles feel like? It’s easy to overdo it when eating dried buds. If you’re new to pot or very sensitive to THC, you’ll probably feel dizzy, lightheaded, or like the room is spinning. If you don’t like this feeling, you shouldn’t eat weed. Stick with another method instead.
Loss Of Focus
Using marijuana in any form can make it hard to focus, so it’s not a surprise that eating pot impacts your concentration. In addition, you might not be able to control your thoughts at all when you eat cannabis. But, again, not everyone enjoys this feeling.
Panic
What happens if you eat weed? Many people panic or have a bad trip. If you’ve never used cannabis before and eating weed is your first experience, you’re almost certain to hyperventilate. Even experienced users struggle with racing heart rates, visual hallucinations, and hearing things when they eat cannabis.
Fatigue
Cannabis is known for its relaxing effects, but eating buds will make you feel wiped out almost immediately. Therefore, you should only try this method when you can dedicate a whole day to the cannabis experience.
Vomiting
Finally, many people wind up vomiting after eating weed. Most people’s systems simply won’t tolerate cannabis on its own. This is one of the least pleasant parts of directly consuming flowers. The experience of eating dried buds is very different than taking an edible, so don’t confuse the two.
How To Eat Raw Weed Without The Side Effects
What happens if you eat weed that hasn’t been dried or cured? You can enjoy fresh buds or leaves to enjoy some of the benefits of marijuana without any side effects. Here are some methods to try.

Smoothies And Shakes
Weed can have a bitter taste on its own, so why not mix it with other flavours you do enjoy? For example, you can blend up your favourite shake or smoothie recipe with fruit, veggies, ice cream, sweeteners, and more. Then, just add some pot leaves to the blender and enjoy.
Cannabis Juice
Juicing is a great way to extract nutrients and vitamins from plants. Cannabis juice is becoming popular for this reason. You can also try making your own using fresh leaves at home.
Edibles
We don’t mean traditional baked edibles like THC brownies. Instead, chop up some cannabis leaves into your next salad. This is a wonderful way to get your greens.
Conclusion
Today’s pot lovers can choose from many ways to get high, but sometimes a down-to-earth approach is best. Eating raw cannabis provides many nutrients, vitamins, and amino acids without any kind of mind-altering high. If you have some fresh marijuana on hand, we recommend trying this method at least once to see what you think.
Suppose you are searching for a reliable cannabis dispensary. In that case, you can find excellent recommendations at platforms such as BC Weed Delivery on the west coast and Cannabis Ontario in the east. As well, you will find all sorts of reliable sites such as Get Kush.

How to Make Cannabis Oil in Your Slow Cooker
How to Make Cannabis Oil in Your Slow Cooker

The slow cooker is a staple in most kitchens. It’s perfect for both those who don’t enjoy cooking and those who do but struggle to find the time to cook an entire meal after a full day of work. In fact, nearly everyone can benefit from using a crockpot at some point. That’s why so many people have them (or have more than one).
Slow cookers are so beloved, in part because you can just toss ingredients in and walk away. It will cook away, and when you return, your food will be ready for you to serve and enjoy. You save time and can avoid eating takeout every night.
This versatile kitchen gadget is not just for cooking meals while you work or do other things. They can also be used to make a staple ingredient for cannabis chefs: cannabis oil.
What Is Cannabis Oil? What Is Cannabis Oil Used For?
Cannabis oil has many other names, including canna-oil, cannaboil, and even weed oil. It is simply the fusion of cannabis and an oil of your choosing. Cannabis oil can be made using any type of oil, from coconut oil to vegetable oil and even avocado oil.
The compounds found in cannabis are fat-soluble, so they need another agent to bond to so the body can absorb and process them. Oil is the perfect bonding agent for cannabis.
A cannabis-infused oil has many uses. It can be used to:
- Bake desserts. Sub in cannabis oil for simple oil in a recipe.
- Fry eggs. By making your eggs in cannabis oil, you’ll start the day off with a high.
- In salad dressing to spice up your lunchtime or dinnertime starter.
Cannabis users who cook with weed will find having pre-made cannabis oil on hand to be quite beneficial. They can quickly pull it out of the fridge when they are ready to start cooking, saving them time in the long run.
Why Use a Crockpot to Make Cannabis Oil?
Crockpots are convenient not just for cooking food but also for making cannabis oil. Essentially, you can put in what you need and walk away from it. But there are other reasons people may choose to make their own cannabis oil and use a slow cooker to accomplish it.
Other infusion methods can be much more complicated than making cannabis oil with a slow cooker. Its simplicity is one of its biggest draws.
You also have complete control over the process. When you make your own cannabis oil, you can choose the strain infused into the oil, the type of oil, and even the potency of your oil. This level of control allows you to make the oil that is perfect for whatever your next baking project is.

Choosing Your Oil
As we’ve mentioned, you can use any type of oil you want to make cannabis oil. So, which should you start with?
As you choose the oil to use as your bonding agent for canna-oil, you’ll need to think about what you plan to make with it. Coconut oil will solidify and is ideal for use when making pie crusts or other baked items. Vegetable or avocado oil, on the other hand, would be ideal if you plan to use your oil in stir-fries.
In addition to taking the consistency and use of your oil into account, think about the flavour as well. Most oils have little to no flavour, but some can be relatively potent. Keep the flavour in mind as you think about what cannabis plant to use when you make your cannabis oil.
How to Make Cannabis Oil in a Slow Cooker (Hint: It’s Easy)
The first step in making your own cannabis oil is to gather up your ingredients and equipment. You will need:
- 1 cup of ground, decarboxylated cannabis flower
- 1 cup of cooking oil (your choice)
- 1 slow cooker
- Storage container
- Cheesecloth
- Strainer
- Spoon
Once you’ve gathered up everything you need, it’s time to make your oil. Follow these steps:
- Pour your oil into your slow cooker.
- Add your decarboxylated cannabis and stir them together.
- Place the cover on top and let it cook on the lowest setting for about three hours.
- Turn off the heat and allow your mixture to cool.
- If desired, repeat the heating process to create a more potent fusing.
- Place your cheesecloth in your strainer and put your storage container under it to collect the oil.
- Carefully pour your mixture into the cheesecloth-covered strainer. The cloth will keep the leaves out while allowing the oil to drain through the cloth and strainer and into your storage container.
Making cannabis oil in your slow cooker is a stinky process; your home will smell. Because of this, make sure you make your cannabis oil in a cannabis-friendly environment and when young people are not around.
You can store your newly created cannabis oil in the refrigerator for about three months. Freezing is not recommended, and don’t let it sit for longer than the allowed three months in storage.

A Note on Decarboxylation
You’ll notice our recipe calls for decarboxylated cannabis. This refers to the process of heating up the cannabis so that THC and CBD convert into the right forms to give users effects.
Though your cannabis will heat up while it cooks in your crockpot, the pot won’t get hot enough to properly decarboxylate your cannabis. So, you will need to take this step separately beforehand, or if possible, find weed that has already been through the process.
Final Thoughts
Using a slow cooker to make cannabis oil is quickly becoming popular thanks to its hands-off approach. You can easily continue to work on a project while the cannabis and oil mixture simmers.
Making your own oil allows you to create oil that is as potent as you desire and use the strains and oils you prefer.
The slow cooker is a staple in most kitchens. It’s perfect for both those who don’t enjoy cooking and those who do but struggle to find the time to cook an entire meal after a full day of work. In fact, nearly everyone can benefit from using a crockpot at...
Marijuana Candy: How to Make THC Gummies and Weed Lollipops
Marijuana Candy: How to Make THC Gummies and Weed Lollipops

Marijuana edibles are not new—in fact, they are one of the most popular in the marijuana world, with many options available on the market.
But did you know you can make your own marijuana candy such as gummies and lollipops? We’ll show you how.
What Is Marijuana Candy?
Marijuana candy is a type of edible product. They combine two popular items: cannabis and candy.
There are many types of marijuana-infused candy, including chocolates, caramels, hard candies, lollipops, and even gummies. They are the perfect way for users to satisfy their sweet tooth while also getting their cannabis fix.
The Benefits of Marijuana Candy
There are many reasons users choose to consume marijuana candy instead of using other products. Some of the benefits of using candies include:
- They are discrete. Smoking and vaping marijuana produce a tell-tale smoke scent that clues everyone around you into the fact that you are doing marijuana. Edibles, however, do not. You can pop a few in your mouth, no matter where you are.
- They are long-lasting. Though edibles take some time to affect (about 20 to 40 minutes), the trade-off is that they stay in the system longer, offering users long-lasting effects.
- They don’t involve inhaling smoke. For some people, such as those with asthma or lung issues, smoking marijuana is not an option. Marijuana candies and other edibles offer an excellent alternative for them.

How to Make THC Gummies
Everyone loves gummy candies. We enjoy them as children and continue to indulge in them as we age. So, it only makes sense that THC gummies are all the rage. And, for those that are adept at making candy, making your own THC gummies is possible.
To make weed gummies, you’ll need to do two processes. The first involves making cannabis-infused coconut oil, and the second, actually making the gummies.
To make the cannabis-infused coconut oil, you will first need to decarboxylate your weed. Marijuana is not effective in its raw form; it needs to be heated (the process of which is called decarboxylation) for the THC and CBD to become effective.
To do this, grind your weed and spread it out on a baking sheet. Place the sheet in the oven at 105 to 120 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes. You want the weed to get toasty but not too burnt. You’ll want to end up with about 3-4 grams of cannabis.
Next, heat a cup of coconut oil in a saucepan, heating it to 55 to 65 degrees Celsius. Add in your marijuana and let it simmer together for about an hour, stirring it frequently.
Once your hour is up, strain the oil to remove the plant matter and place your newly infused oil in a storage container.
For a pure-THC product, you can also use THC oil to make your infused coconut oil.
Once the coconut oil is made, you are ready to start making the actual gummies. To make the gummies, you will need:
- 1/2 cup of your previously made cannabis-infused coconut oil.
- 1/2 cup of cold water.
- 85 grams (roughly one box) of flavoured gelatin.
- 2 tablespoons of unflavoured gelatin
- 1/2 teaspoon of sunflower or soy lecithin
- A dropper
- Gummy moulds
Once you have your materials, you can start baking.
- Put the water, coconut oil, and sunflower or soy lecithin together in a pot on low heat.
- Stir the mixture thoroughly, ensuring the oil is completely melted and the consistency is even.
- Add in both the unflavoured and flavoured gelatin, stirring them constantly.
- Keep the pot simmering on low heat until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
Note: You should continue to stir your mixture and prevent it from coming to a boil.
- Use a dropper to fill your moulds. You’ll need to do this quickly so that the mixture doesn’t have time to cool. You may need to return to your mixture and stir it to prevent it from hardening.
- Once your mould is full, place them in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
- Remove from the freezer and the mould and enjoy them.
Storage tip: Keep your gummies in the fridge until you are ready to eat them.
How to Make Weed Lollipops
If marijuana gummies seem a little complicated for you, consider trying weed lollipops. You may find them a little easier to make.
To make weed lollipops, you will need:
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup of filtered water
- 1 tablespoon of your favourite flavour
- 2-3 tablespoons of marijuana tincture
- 1 candy thermometer
- 1 saucepan
- Lollipop sticks
- A silicon mould
Once you have everything, it’s time to get started making your lollipops. During this process, it is essential to keep an eye on the temperature throughout the cooking process.
- Add the water, syrup, and sugar to your saucepan and mix them.
- Turn the heat up to medium-high on the stove.
- Stir the ingredients constantly until the mixture becomes uniform and the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Once the mixture begins to boil, put your thermometer in the pot. Watch for it to reach 150 degrees Celsius.
- Once it reaches the correct temperature, turn off the heat and remove the pot from the burner. But, leave the thermometer in the saucepan.
- Wait for the temperature to drop to 120 degrees Celsius.
- Once it reaches the right temperature, add your chosen flavour and cannabis tincture to your mixture.
- Stir to combine.
- Fill your moulds with the mixture and add your lollipop sticks.
- Let the candy cool (typically 15 to 20 minutes).
- Enjoy.

Making marijuana edibles, such as THC or cannabis gummies and weed lollipops, is doable at home. For some, buying your edibles online is easier and much less work.
Most recipes can be adjusted to be stronger if you have experience with marijuana products. For example, in our lollipop recipe, you can up the amount of tincture you use to make them a little stronger.

Edibles vs. Smoking: Ingesting Marijuana
Edibles vs. Smoking: Ingesting Marijuana

Two of the most popular methods of ingesting marijuana are Edibles and Smoking. Smoking weed is probably the most common and popular way to get the effects of marijuana, while Edibles offer a stronger and more sustained experience. Both of these methods have pros and cons, so when it comes to Edibles vs. Smoking, which should you choose?
Many factors come into the choice between smoking weed and eating marijuana edibles. Would you rather have extremely strong effects or kick back with a nice level high? Would you rather get high for a few hours or the whole day? Do you enjoy eating more than you enjoy taking a hit of marijuana smoke? Here’s a guide to Edibles vs. Smoking.
Edibles vs. Smoking: What’s The Difference?
Smoking and eating marijuana edibles are two very different methods of marijuana consumption. While both can give you the powerful effects and benefits of THC, they both work on your body in extremely different ways. Not only are the products you use different, but the way they interact with your body and the kind of high you can expect also contrast significantly.
The most common method of marijuana consumption is smoking, and there are a few different ways you can do it. You can grind weed and roll it into a joint or spliff, making for a quick and simple way to smoke or even share weed with friends. You can also smoke weed from a bong or pipe for extra convenience.
Edibles come in all kinds of interesting forms. For instance, you can find THC Gummies, Cookies, Brownies, Chocolate Bars, and many other edible creations. When you eat edibles, your body converts the THC into a stronger chemical, resulting in a more potent and longer-lasting high. However, they can also be a little overwhelming in some situations.

Edibles vs. Smoking: Which Is Stronger?
When it comes to which of these methods is stronger, Marijuana Edibles win hands down. Although smoking high-THC strains of weed can give you a perfectly potent high, Edibles are even more powerful since your body converts THC into a stronger form when consumed orally.
To use Marijuana Edibles, all you have to do is eat them and wait. They take a while to kick in as your body converts THC into 11-hydroxy-THC. However, when you do get high, you’ll feel the euphoric and mind-boosting effects in full force. Many users opt for edibles simply for the strength of the high.
Not only are Edibles stronger than smoking marijuana, but they also last significantly longer. One study found that when you smoke marijuana, effects come on almost instantly, peak at around 15-30 minutes, and taper off after about 2-3 hours. Edibles can take 30-90 minutes to kick in, but peak at 2-3 hours and can last for up to 12. As such, it’s best to smoke instead of using Edibles if you plan to be somewhat productive that day.
Edibles vs. Smoking: Which Is More Convenient?
Another factor to consider is convenience. Of course, Edibles are much more convenient to use when compared to having to grind weed and roll a joint- all you do is eat them. Using a bong or pipe makes smoking a lot easier. However, aside from the convenience of use, you should also consider the convenience of the effects.
Marijuana Edibles give you a stronger high that can last for 4-12 hours. However, this isn’t always convenient. It’s easy to get higher than you want to, and you’ll likely be stuck in the same state for hours. Not to mention the fact that you could be waiting up to 2 hours for the high to even start.
Smoking might not be as potent, but it’s very easy to smoke as little or as much as you want to get the perfect high. If you need some mild relaxation, take a couple of hits from a bong, pipe or joint. If you want a strong high, then you simply have to smoke more.
Edibles vs. Smoking: Which Is Better For Medical Use?
Both of these methods of consumption can work for medical users. However, since they’re so different, they help in different ways and which one is better for your symptoms is another consideration worth making.
Since Edibles are stronger, they can be very helpful for symptoms such as severe pain, insomnia, headaches, migraines, nausea, and more. They can also help reduce stress. At the same time, Edibles might feel like overkill due to the incredibly long high. There’s also a chance they can worsen anxiety and paranoia.
Smoking is quick and convenient- you just take a few hits to relieve all kinds of symptoms from pain to stress and depression. However, Edibles can still be useful. Some medical users take microdoses of Edibles, eating around 2.5-5mg for mild but long-lasting medical relief.
Edibles vs. Smoking: Product Range
One of the key benefits of both smoking and edibles is that you have a lot of products to choose from. With so many strains of weed you can smoke and a huge variety of tasty edibles, it’s hard to get bored with either method.
When it comes to smoking, you have a choice between indica, sativa, and hybrid strains. Indica strains are known to be more relaxing, giving you soothing physical effects. Sativa strains are more likely to energize your body and your mind. Hybrid strains give you a balance of both.
Edibles can also come in indica, sativa, and hybrid varieties. However, the main choice you’ll make is which kind of edibles to eat. Popular options include Gummies, Chocolate Bars, Caramels, and Baked Goods such as Brownies, Cookies, and Cakes. You can also find marijuana-infused drinks or even make homemade edibles and drinks using THC Tinctures.
Conclusion
When it comes to Edibles vs. Smoking, it’s best to try both out at some point. Smoking marijuana is a great option for when you want a fast-acting high that’s easy to control. Edibles are for the times where you want the most hard-hitting psychoactive experience, although microdosing is a good option for milder effects. No matter which you prefer, you can buy all kinds of edibles and marijuana strains online at getkush.cc.
