What is HTFSE?
Coined by Dr. Daniel Hyden, High Terpene Full Spectrum Extract (HTFSE) is a form of cannabis concentrate that contains the full range of beneficial compounds in the plant trichome glands, minus the non beneficial elements such as fats and waxes. Oftentimes referred to as terp sauce (or just sauce), HTFSE is more on the liquid side when it comes to cannabis concentrates, making it easier to work with than harder substances like shatter.
At Get Kush, we ensure that we carry only top quality HTFSE products in Canada. For more information on HTFSE and its products, read on to the bottom of the page.

HTFSE Positive Effects:
The high terpene count make the effects more intense because terpenes react with cannabinoids such as THC and CBD to boost their effects. Terpenes are volatile, aromatic compounds that are responsible for the characteristic scent of each weed strain. Not only that, terpenes also come with a range of therapeutic properties and they can influence the effect cannabis has on the user. Depending on the terpene content of your strain, the high might be more stimulating or lean toward sedation; it can either razor-sharpen your senses or impact your short-term memory. The benefits experienced all depend on whether the HTFSE was derived from a more indica or a more sativa strain, as each induce different sensations. In general, many people seek out full-spectrum extracts because of their “full-plant” values. Cannabis’ properties have shown to work best synergistically, allowing all cannabinoids and terpenes to benefit from each other. This phenomenon is known as the entourage effect. High terpene full-spectrum extracts, then, embrace these full-plant values, allowing consumers to enjoy the entourage effect and, thus, a more powerful cannabis experience. Having these well-rounded positive effects is wonderful for consumers of all kinds, but primarily for experienced smokers who need a stronger dose of THC than usual.HTFSE Medical Benefits:
People turn to HTFSE for various reasons, all depending on the individual. The effects of high terpene full-spectrum extract are going to be different for every person, so you cannot base one’s experience on yours. Common uses of HTFSE for medical marijuana patients is for such things as: Stress, depression, anxiety, aches, pain and insomnia. In general, most people turn to cannabis for its assistance with full-body relief. HTFSE and its entourage effect produce even stronger, fuller effects than your typical product because of the well-rounded ingredients. Many people will find that HTFSE brings serious pain relief which can also help subside discomfort in the brain that’s linked to physical pain. With the combination of muscle relaxation, pain relief, and stress reduction, falling and staying asleep is easier, especially if your HTFSE is indica based. This creates a great product option for those in need of significant rest and relaxation. Sativa HTFSEs, though, may do the opposite: these strains are wonderful for uplifting the mind, stimulating the brain, and boosting the mood. So, whether you want to wind down or feel energized, HTFSE and its medical benefits can help you achieve all that and so much more.HTFSE Vs Marijuana Flowers:
Compared to marijuana flowers, HTFSE is quite different. Essentially, HTFSE is all of the best components of the cannabis plant boiled down into a concentrated state. Instead of dealing with the plant matter that gets ashed and wasted, HTFSE gets rid of this entirely, leaving you only with high levels of terpenes and cannabinoids. Typically, marijuana flowers are turned to for smoking or to add into foods for edibles. While heating up this plant matter and smoking is perfectly fine, like most concentrates, you want to dab HTFSE, not smoke it. Dabbing HTFSE allows for the full enjoyment of flavors and potency. Speaking of potency, high terpene full spectrum extract will contain much higher levels of THC than regular flower, making it best for only the most experienced consumers. Compared to the high that flower brings, HTFSE’s high will be stronger and likely last longer than regular buds would. Depending on the strain used, just like with flower, the high could be more cerebral and uplifting (like with Sativas) or it could be calming and body-based (like indicas bring).HTFSE Vs Other Cannabis Concentrates:
Terp sauce retains more terpenes than other cannabis concentrates, making it a more aromatic and flavorful experience. However, the THC levels tend to be lower. This does not mean lower quality, as it just means the THC is less concentrated since there are a lot of terpenes floating around. However, this also doesn’t mean that HTFSE is any less potent than other concentrates. In fact, that could be the opposite. As we mentioned above, HTFSE supports the entourage effect because of its full profile of cannabinoids and terpenes. Other types of concentrates, like shatter, do not contain as full of properties because of their filtration process. Thus, the high may not be as all-encompassing as one from HTFSE. The exact effects of the entourage effect are still being looked into, but it is strongly suggested that this phenomenon does allow for cannabis experiences to feel stronger, longer, and overall better than when cannabinoids are isolated.HTFSE Vs Weed Edibles:
Ingesting weed edibles affects the mind and body differently than inhaling cannabis. That being said, an edible high is going to take a while for effects to hit, but the high will usually last longer and be more intense than with HTFSE. When dabbing HTFSE, you will experience effects almost instantly, but they will only last about an hour, at most. Compared to weed edibles, HTFSE makes for a much more consistent, reliable cannabis experience, as edibles can be a bit unpredictable. Dosing edibles isn’t easy to do, and they still lose a lot of their potency during the baking process. Simply put, this doesn’t happen with HTFSE. HTFSE is consistently, closely dosed to allow for the same amount of THC in each dosage. How to Make HTFSE?
Basically terp sauce is made by flash freezing freshly cut cannabis and then putting it through an extraction process. Most cannabis concentrates are made by first drying and curing the buds, then extracting them of their oils. With HTFSE, freezing the buds before extraction allows for the preservation of terpenes the concentrate is known for. Drying and curing cannabis buds can easily result in less aromatic flower, while flash-freezing conserves them beautifully. From there, the terpenes and cannabinoids are isolated through a solvent extraction process. Do keep in mind that it is never a good idea to try this at home. Making any cannabis concentrate can be extremely dangerous, as materials are highly combustible. This process should only be performed by the most experienced cannabis manufacturers and in proper lab settings. How to take HTFSE?
Many say the best way to take HTFSE is by dabbing it. Dabbing HTFSE provides the smoothest most flavorful smoke possible, as the high temperatures heat the sauce-like consistency perfectly. In terms of consumption method, a close second is vaping, as it provides just as smooth of a hit as dabbing does. Vaping your HTFSE, though, tends to be a bit easier, especially if you aren’t experienced with a dab rig. To do this, make sure you have a vape pen or desktop vaporizer that is suited for heating concentrates. You can also add some terp sauce to your bong or into a joint, but this isn’t as effective as dabbing or vaping. When you do this, the temperature from your lighter isn’t strong enough to fully vaporize the HTFSE, and, thus, you’re wasting a lot of the potency that HTFSE is known for.How to Store HTFSE?
Light and oxygen degrade terpenes, so it is best to keep terp sauce stored in an airtight container. Keeping your HTFSE in airtight containers ensures that no excess moisture, heat, or air is getting in and contaminating your concentrates. Outside temperatures or fluctuating environmental factors can eventually degrade the terpenes in your HTFSE, ruining the aromatic flavor profile the concentrate is known for. Not to mention, this will also affect potency, lowering the THC levels, too. Cold, dark locations and airtight containers are best for keeping your HTFSE fresh, tasty, and potent. Make sure the location you choose is out of the reach of any children. Keep your HTFSE properly labeled to help prevent any accidental consumption.HTFSE Side Effects:
Dry mouth and red eyes are the most common side effects of smoking high terpene full spectrum extract. However, it is possible that paranoia, dizziness, and/or nausea can occur in some extreme cases, especially if too much HTSFE is consumed. Thankfully, these effects are generally not serious and will subside with time. To help speed up the sobering process, try eating a meal or drinking water. Even taking a shower or a nap can help you snap out of it, understanding that you just had a bit too much HTFSE. With proper dosage, negative side effects are unlikely to occur. Always start with extremely small doses and then consume more as your body gets used to it. This way, you’re always having the best HTFSE experience possible. Why Buy HTFSE at Get Kush?
