Description
Strawberry Cough Strain is an award-winning sativa strain focused on taste and stress-relieving properties while boosting creativity and energy levels. It was created in 2000 by former High Times editor Kyle Kushman, the master breeder himself.
The strain is a cross between Strawberry Fields and evergreen Haze, boasting between 24-27% of THC. The highest THC content of Strawberry Cough (22.98%) was scored by Emerald Cannabis Works in 2001.
The sativa genes and moderate amounts of THC make its buds perfect for daytime use to combat fatigue, stress and induce a positive state of mind.
The strain’s lush flowers are large and chunky, and contrary to its sativa genetics, Strawberry Cough Strain is more reminiscent of typical but in its structure. It has bulky and densely packed leaves, with sativa genes showing in between with the bud’s conical shape.
Unlike other cannabis strains, the Strawberry Cough Strain variety is threaded through with red pistils rather than orange ones. The leaves are sticky and covered with cloudy amber trichomes that add even more magic to its already exotic appearance.
Once you open the jar of your freshly bought Strawberry Cough Strain you’ll notice a scent of juicy strawberries with a slight kick of peppery spice. For value sativa this is the winner. I don’t mean lowgrade by value, it’s definitely AAA/AAA+; it falls short in the condensed buds (likely due to vacuum seal) and odor isn’t exactly what I’d expect of strawberry cough. Where it does NOT fall short is the sativa high — this purges you of all anxiety, you feel very rational and relaxed. This is a great bud for social gatherings, or sports/recreation (snowboarding), or even video games. It’s my go to sativa and I will always order it into the future.
